Child & Adolescent Therapy

Support for Children, Teens, and Families

At the Association for Multicultural Behavioral Health, we provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate therapy for children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, social, or family-related difficulties.

We understand that children and teens often express distress differently than adults, and our clinicians create a safe, supportive space where they can feel understood, respected, and engaged in the therapeutic process.

A Family-Centered Approach

Our work with children and adolescents often includes the whole family. We believe that lasting change happens not only through individual therapy, but also through strengthening communication, improving family relationships, supporting parents, and helping caregivers better understand the child’s emotional and developmental needs.

When appropriate, therapy may include parent guidance, family sessions, and collaboration around practical strategies that can be used at home, school, and in daily life.

Age-Appropriate and Engaging Therapy

Our experienced clinicians work collaboratively with you to understand your unique history, culture, and life circumstances.

As a multidisciplinary and multilingual practice, we offer culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that honors each client’s identity, values, and lived experience — creating an environment where healing, growth, and resilience can truly take root.

For younger children, play and creative expression often become the language through which they communicate feelings, process experiences, and learn new coping skills.

For adolescents, therapy may focus more on identity, independence, emotional stress, peer relationships, communication, decision-making, and developing healthier coping strategies.

Issues We Address

We support children, adolescents, and families with concerns such as:

Helping Children Build Skills for Life

Our goal is to help children and adolescents build emotional awareness, healthier coping skills, confidence, and stronger relationships with their families.

We work collaboratively with parents and caregivers to support meaningful progress and create practical tools that help children function better at home, in school, and in relationships.

Therapy is provided in a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive environment where each child, adolescent, and family is treated with dignity, compassion, and care.
